Angelica d’Ettorre

Angelica d’Ettorre is a photographer, actress and director whose practice operates at the intersection of photography, performance, and conceptual research. Trained in acting from an early age, she brings a performative sensibility to her photographic work, conceiving the image not merely as a visual surface but as an experiential and embodied space.

She pursues an intimate photographic and videographic research distinguished by an ongoing investigation into the aesthetics of the image. Her practice is oriented toward the development of an essential and conceptual visual language capable of conveying universal principles, with a particular focus on freedom as the central axis of her creative inquiry.

She holds a degree in Cinema from the University of Wales and a Master’s in Cinema and New Media Communication. Her professional career includes collaborations with leading international institutions and organizations such as Netflix, Rai, UNHCR, UNICEF, and Swiss Italian Radio, developed through extensive work across Europe and Africa.

Currently based in Italy, she focuses on fine art photography and collaborates with galleries of ancient and contemporary art. Her ongoing research investigates light, reflection, and shadow as they manifest through water in both its liquid and solid states, with a practice closely connected to the relationship between these elements and the human condition.
